Cheri’s Ghoulish Creations Featured in The Charlotte Observer

When she’s not hand-crafting powerful direct marketing copy for our clients, Technekes’ very own Cheri Wiles somehow carves out time to make delicious and creepy treats. Cheri was recently featured in The Charlotte Observer for recipes and commentary on local Halloween traditions. Meanwhile, everyone in the office patiently awaits samples. (Hint, Hint)

A Nose For Fundraising

The gang at Technekes is always ready to lend a helping hand to community – and sometimes, a nose, as well.

When Ronald McDonald House Charities announced they were building a house here in Charlotte, we were one of the first to contribute to the cause.  And now, we’re stepping up that support as one of the presenting sponsors of The Red Shoe Shoot Out fundraiser this fall.

The Red Shoe Shoot Out is a sporting clays tournament to support the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte , which is scheduled to open in 2011.

The Shoot Out itself will be November 5 at Fork Stables, but plainly, we’ve already got a bunch of clowns hard at work on the project, including Alison Hoskins, who designed the spiffy new logo.  And now we’re looking for additional sponsors – and teams!  No experience necessary!  Just contact Erin Faucette or Jan Burlee at Technekes (704.342.2900) for more info – and perhaps, a red nose of your own!

Our New Videos Are Up!

A star is born.  Or perhaps, three stars are born, now that the new videos featuring the leads of our three practice groups have premiered.

Ashley Williams, Dale McKee and Bobbie Montgomery do a great job describing the expertise and experience of their individual groups and what it is about Technekes that keeps our clients coming back.

We hope you’ll take a minute to take a peek (each video clocks in under two minutes) – and let us know what you think.  You may learn something new about Technekes.  And we’re sure you’ll see some familiar faces in a whole new light.

Lights! Camera! Action! (And, Ahem, Makeup.)

Our friends from Lunch And Recess were back in our Charlotte office last week, shooting video for our spanking new website.

Truly, we can’t wait to see the  final results.  The gang at L&R does great work — just take a peek at a couple of videos they’ve already put together for us.

We know they captured some powerful and thought-provoking moments for us.  But we also know that a couple of frames (OK, make that quite a few), will end up on the editing floor.  Unless, of course, we find some way to put together a blooper reel.

Failing that, we’ll share with you a few stills — that surely won’t end up in the final video — for now.

And keep an eye out for the final — and more professional — videos in the coming weeks.
